Peter and Larkin O'Leary-December 18th, 2010

Joel and I were so fortunate to be included in Peter and Larkin's nuptials in Oahu, Hawaii!  What an excuse for a week-long vacation!  We had a great time on the North Shore, staying at Turtle Bay Resort.  The day of the wedding was gorgeous with an outdoor ceremony and dinner for 15 in the pavilion with doors that opened all around to the sounds of the ocean!  Come Sunday, we had HEAVY rain until the day we left (Wednesday) which was unfortunate!  My tan suffered!

The waves were HUGE during the storm!  No surfers on these days!

Thanksgiving Pictures

Better late than never!  We had an amazing Thanksgiving in Tahoe with the Geweke clan, except Brett, Sam and the kids :(.  Joel was the happiest camper as he got to ski on the day after Thanksgiving.  We hadn't seen that much snow in November in years upon years!  Here are some pictures from the holiday...

Baby!

Joel and I are so excited to be starting a family!  My first trimester I was SO NERVOUS, thinking of all the what-ifs.  Now that I'm in my 16th week, I'm feeling much better about things.  We're not finding out the sex of the baby and it could kill me by the end, but the mystery of it all is fun as well.  Here are a couple pics of Baby Green from my 14 week ultrasound.

At this ultrasound, the baby was 5 days bigger than my "expected" duedate.  Seeing that Nan and Tim's wedding is on June 18th, the earlier the better for this precious babe!  It was very active during the ultrasound, which was so fun to see.  I have my monthly appointment tomorrow, but I don't think we'll have an ultrasound.  So, I'll be lingering over these pics for a while.
I've been feeling pretty great.  As I told Joel yesterday,  I don't feel 100% (in fact, I can't remember the last time I felt 100%) but I really can't complain because I haven't had any morning sickness.  I have no cravings and the smell of fish/crab makes me want to run out of the room!

Holiday Season-already?!

Two + months have passed since beginning my "blogging" experience and I'm sad to say that I haven't been the best at "updating".  So many things have happened since September!  The Geweke family was crazy with Pink October in Yuba City and I am so proud to say they all did a wonderful job in raising money to benefit the women in Sutter County.  Since completing those events, Nan has been hard at work planning her upcoming nuptuals to Tim in June and we are still basking in the glory of the San Francisco Giants becoming World Champions!  I have NEVER seen Joel so excited-I think it will define his life for the years to come.
I am just finishing up packing for our Thanksgiving trip to Tahoe with the Geweke family and I'm sure I'll be updating with some pictures once I get back.  Joel is ecstatic with all the snow the mountains are getting and is bringing up his skis.  I, on the other hand, have been saving up my magazines and books so that I can FULLY relax.  This will be a well-deserved trip.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Is this thing on?

After continually checking on many blogs from friends I grew up with to college pals who have moved away and started their own adventures with new babies and families, I decided that I better get in on the action!  Joel and I live a pretty busy and entertaining life(this picture was taken in Stellenbosch, South Africa), so why not?  If nothing else, I know that my family will check in on us!
Joel and I currently live in Santa Rosa (where Joel grew up) but have our house on the market and are hoping to move to Sonoma in a timely fashion (preferably).  This will not only put Joel MUCH closer to his job, but will put us a little closer to YC and in a small, adorable town that I absolutely LOVE!  I'll keep you updated...
