nursery decor

Now that we are in escrow for a house in Sonoma (hooray!), I can finally start realistically thinking of the nursery for baby Green!  Here is what we have so far:
Adding some gray touches with clean lines
the striped fabric will be a window valence that I will make

this fabric will be for a pillow on the glider that I will make
...and finally the bedding.  We're doing a white simple crib from Land of Nod
We found this dresser at Restoration Hardware Outlet

23 Weeks

The past couple days have been quite a rollercoaster for Joel and I.  I was exposed to parvovirus in December and have had many blood tests to ensure that it was a recent exposure.  Sure enough it was and now the baby is infected as well.  This virus is not a big deal to kids or adults.  However, to a fetus it is a big deal because it causes anemia.  We've been monitoring the baby extra carefully because of this.  Yesterday at my appointment, the doctor became very concerned because there was a lot of fluid in the baby's belly and also the heart rate/intensity was much higher than it should have been, with a bit of an enlarged heart.
Because of this, we went to San Francisco today for another ultrasound with a possibility of getting a blood sample from the umbilical chord and then a blood transfusion.  Luckily, the heart rate was a bit lower and the doctor is hoping that baby is in recovery mode so procedures were not performed.  We go back to the city on Monday for another check.  Keep us in your prayers!
